The Top 3 Photography Tips For Absolute Beginners

Photography is not an easy thing to master and it takes a lot of time. It may look and sound easy but it is not. The most difficult part is getting a pure and accurate shot that you will remember for a long time.

It will take you a long time to produce photos that you genuinely like and you should not be in a hurry. It is not an easy undertaking but it is not an impossible one either.

That should not discourage you from learning and practising photography in the first place. It is a lot of fun. As many people as possible should learn photography as way of keeping themselves busy. These are the top three photography tips for beginners:-

  1. The Exposure Triangle

In a nutshell photography is all about capturing and manipulating light as much as you want. This means that once you get a good shot with enough light then do not hesitate to take it. With this you will be able to get a good shot in the end.

Because of this then you must be aware of the exposure triangle. Once you get enough light into the camera just take a shot. When doing this, remember that there are three things you need to look out for:-

The first one is the aperture. The wider the aperture the more the light. It also has a bearing on the field of the picture.

The second one is the shutter speed. The slower the shutter speed the more light that is let in. It also determines the motion of the picture.

The third one is ISO. This is how sensitive the sensor is to light. The more sensitive it is to light the higher the quality of the shot.

  1. The Rule of Thirds

This is basically having a keen eye for the composition of the picture. This means that for you to take a good picture you need to have a good composition of the picture.

Composition is the placement of every element within a picture. It basically gives you an opportunity to know where every element within the picture is placed. This means that you are able to take a better shot of the picture.

It is not a complicated concept as all you need to do is to mentally divide the picture into two-thirds in two vertical and horizontal lines. This will give you an opportunity to take more accurate pictures.

  1. Change Your Perspective

This means taking a picture from different viewpoints at eye level. It just means basically changing the sitting or standing positions. This will give you a better view of the object that you would like to take a shot of.
